Good to hear from you again. Just a quick note – one of the reasons I made that plugin in the first place is that the other techniques I’ve seen for inserting callout-type blocks don’t maintain formatting in RSS feeds — they use stylesheets that aren’t recognized by RSS readers. I was happy to see that when your blog post showed up in Google Reader this morning, the callout was intact and properly formatted.

I got no confirmation from this company. It turns out the the logos they claimed they created are not real businesses, at least I could find NONE of them on the web.
All email were rejected. I was tricked by this guy!!!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING ALL THIS INFO! I was going to use them, knowing that the logo wouldn’t be awesome, but I expected at least decent, considering this is what they do all day.
I am so happy I found all these postings saying to stay away from Marvel Logo Design.
Sorry to hear about your terrible experiences…just remember what goes around comes around….

Crap, I didn’t see this post before I sent in my money. They came back with some designs that were nothing close to what was portrayed in their portfolio. I have received a few changes back, but now I am not getting a response from them. I have sent an email wanting my changes or my money back and still have not received a response. Has anyone been able to track down a phone number for this company?

Don’t buy service from Marvel logo!

We request the refund of payment (as included in contract) after a very poor logo design, and we never received the money.

Stay away!

I researched several of the companies they list as references. Not one shows up in Google. That right there was a red flag. A little more research led me to this post. I am not surprised. Guess I’ll keep searching for a design company.

@Brian – good for you for your 10 years experience. If people aren’t in the business, however, they would not know what the going rate is for design. Things are changing and the web brings global competition which brings costs down in areas such as design. Have fun starving to death you arrogant monkey.

I am dealing with them right now and its HELL… Communication is TERRIBLE… They completely disregard many of my emails…

Right now, I am asking for a simple modification… its so simple I will explain it here…

From the initial draft they sent me, there was a logo which was “ok”, I asked for some modifications though : In the logo there was an animal inside a circle. I did not like the animal shape that they put inside the circle, so I asked to replace the animal that was in the circle with another animal ( I gave them some options )…

Thats it… they just cant understand that… they send me unrelevant modifications, they change the font, they change the logo etc WHY ? that is not what I asked for… it drives me crazy…

so much time wasted…

Also another very very bad thing they did is that they took some vector artwork from istockphoto.com and slapped it in a logo, not even modified.

Andy, you’re entirely right. Often the main upgrade comes with new vulnerabilities – which are patched later in the “smaller” upgrades. For a small operation – a lot to keep up with.
